Heritage Kids

As our church continues to grow, so is our children’s ministry.

Nursery Sitter (2-3 helpers) – (15-20 minutes alternating Sundays)

Our 0-3 year old kids participate in kids worship (1-2 songs) with all children, but need supervision during our large group skit and lesson time.  This volunteer would take the babies into their room during adult worship time, then would be relieved by the classroom teacher to go to church service.

Large Group Actors (2-3 helpers) – (30 minutes each Sunday, 8 weeks)

Large group skit actor would lead worship with kids and perform skits related to current series being taught.  This volunteer would lead kids in their large group worship and lesson time and would be able to return to service when children split into small groups.

Seed (Nursery) Teachers (2) – (entire service, alternating Sundays)

This volunteer would help supervise all kids during large group worship and skits, then teach a pre-planned lesson to the 0-3 year olds.

Sprout (4 y/o – 2nd grade) Teachers (2) – (entire service, alternating Sundays)

This volunteer would help supervise all kids during large group worship and skits, then teach a pre-planned lesson to the 4 y/o - 2nd graders.

Root (3rd – 6th grade) Teachers (2) – (entire service, alternating Sundays)

This volunteer would help supervise all kids during large group worship and skits, then teach a pre-planned lesson to the 3rd – 6th graders.

Men's Fellowship

The purpose of the Men's Ministry is to reveal Jesus Christ to all men in order that God's Kingdom will be manifested tangibly in their lives. The Men's Ministry seeks to sharpen and strengthen men through God's Word, fellowship, encouragement and support.  The men's fellowship meet the 3rd Saturday of the month at 7:30am for breakfast.  Hope to see you there!

 Women's  Ministry

womens ministry_t_nv.jpg

Women are vital to a healthy church. In the Bible, it was the women who stuck by Jesus as he died on the cross. It was the women who discovered that Jesus rose from the dead and told the disciples. And it was the women who faithfully served in the early church in partnership with the apostles and elders. The early church was radical in that it encouraged women to learn about theology and Jesus, encouraged them to serve and help build the church, and deemed women as equal image bearers of God, with distinct roles.

WHCC Women’s Ministries is focused on helping women grow more deeply in their love of Jesus, grow in their knowledge of the Bible, and get connected with one another in community with the ultimate goal of creating disciples of Jesus who make other disciples.

Jail Ministry

If Jesus were on earth today, would we find Him in the prisons, talking and dining with criminals and outcasts? Of course we would. He would be there "to seek and to save the lost!"  I was in prison and you came to visit me … I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.” (Matthew 25:36, 40)   We at WHCC want to be the hands and feet of Christ and take part in the things He would be involved in.  Every Tuesday from 6:30pm-8:30pm we minister to imates at Mills County Jail.

WHCC Adult Sunday School

The Adult Sunday School class gives adults at WHCC and in the community an opportunity to meet in a small group to study God's word.  This might be by studying a particular book in the bible or other studies available that interests the group.  Please feel free to join us.  We welcome all who feel called to study His word.
